Nexus ISR, LLC is headquartered in Rochester, New York. The Nexus Hawk is simply described as a “portable, Internet/network wireless access point”. More granularly, it is a future-looking, field-deployable, portable, wireless access point whose data streams can be natively secured through the application of state-of-the-art security encryption schemes.

The Nexus Hawk enables secure, digital communication where no such pathway exited before for mobile and remote workers – anywhere in the cellular telephone “universe”.

Using the Nexus Hawk, untethered (mobile and nomadic users) and untetherable (where cables cannot be installed) users may leverage the power of existing cellular data networks, satellite data providers and existing WiFi hotspots – while adding up to 8 additional layers of security to stay network/Internet connected and communicating even in remote or inhospitable locations.

Models

The Nexus Hawk is available in two models. The Model 1000 and 2000 differentiate in that they provide a one or two PCMCIA slots respectively. All models are designed to be compatible with all U.S carrier networks such as Sprint, Verizon and Cingular.

Options

Two options are offered within each model. WiFi, 802.11 a/b/g wireless and GPS, Garmin integrated 12 satellite GPS receiver. Both models of the Nexus Hawk can integrate each option individually or both options within the product.

The Nexus iSR difference… Firmware features and enhancements are available free-of-charge for the lifecycle of the product. They are simply downloaded from this site. Few other products actually get better over time.
